How do the deliveries work safely for all envolved?

We must adhere to strict social distancing guidelines when dealing with our neighbours at our little shop and for deliveries. We need to protect ourselves so we can continue to provide this service, and we need to protect our entire community, many of whom are vulnerable.

When we deliver to you, we will place your shopping on the doorstep or any other outdoor place you would like to specify. Please do not come out of the house to greet the delivery volunteer. The delivery volunteer will ring the bell or knock on the door and then step away from the premises. They will leave when you have opened the door to collect your goods.

If you choose to pay by card please let us know in advance. We will bring a card machine that allows contactless payments. This machine is disinfected before and after each use. To maintain social distancing, the card machine will be mounted onto a paddle. Extreme but better safe than sorry!

We aim to deliver all orders within 24 hours. We will phone or email with a delivery guide time.

We will phone you before delivery with your order total. Please leave a cheque in a safe place. If you would like to pay by card, we can arrange for a contactless card machine to be presented to you by the delivery person. Please check the amount on the screen, and use the device as usual. The card machine will be disinfected before and after each use.

If you place an order via email or Facebook, we will message you back with the total amount for your order.

If you are isolating at home and feeling lonely, just let us know, and we will arrange for someone to pop round for a chat from a distance (through a window or entirely outdoors) or for someone to phone you for a natter.
