🇬🇧 Hosted by the makers at our Shropshire studio — a hands-on evening with the Mustard & Gray team.

Learn to make your own lampshade from scratch in a relaxed, creative evening at our Shropshire studio. You'll choose from our beautiful Mustard & Gray fabrics, work with our experienced team, and leave with a finished lampshade ready to light up your home.

No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm. We'll guide you through every step, from cutting and stretching your fabric to fitting the frame and finishing the trim. It's a wonderfully satisfying craft, and the results are genuinely beautiful.

Whether you're treating yourself to a creative night out or looking for a unique experience to share with a friend, this is an evening well spent.

What's included

  • All tools and materials, including a selection of Mustard & Gray fabrics
  • Expert guidance from our studio team throughout the evening

  • One finished lampshade to take home

Prefer to bring your own fabric? You're welcome to — you'll need a piece approximately 110cm x 30cm for a 30cm shade. We recommend light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton, polycotton or a linen/cotton mix.

Do I need any experience?
Not at all — this workshop is suitable for complete beginners. We'll show you everything you need to know.

What will I make?
You'll leave with one finished lampshade, plus the confidence and know-how to make more at home.

Is it difficult?
It takes a little patience, but nothing more — and we'll be there to help at every stage.

What should I bring?
Nothing — all tools and materials are provided. Just wear something comfortable.

Is this suitable for children?
This workshop is for adults only.
