Explore colour, experiment with techniques and create your own original artwork.
Join us for four lovely evenings of creativity at our countryside studio in Condover, just outside Shrewsbury, as we explore the wonderfully expressive medium of oil pastels.
Oil pastels are rich, colourful and incredibly versatile. They can be blended, layered, smudged and scratched into, making them a fantastic medium for creating everything from soft, atmospheric landscapes to bold, colourful artwork.
Over this four-week course, we'll introduce you to a range of techniques, giving you the opportunity to experiment, build confidence and discover your own creative style.
We'll begin by getting to know the materials, exploring colour mixing, blending, layering, mark-making and different ways of creating texture and depth.
As the weeks progress, you'll put these techniques into practice, developing your ideas and working towards creating your very own original piece of art.
There will be plenty of opportunities to experiment, ask questions and work at your own pace, with friendly guidance and encouragement throughout.
No previous art experience is necessary! Whether you've never picked up an oil pastel before or are looking to rediscover your creative side, this course is designed to be welcoming, enjoyable and inspiring.
